Regarding the discussion at the end, I recall the visceral nature of many of the comments on youtube following the announcement. The comments placed great store in the c-word and drawing conclusions as to the cause of death, in a 2+2=5000 way. Who were these people that were making these appalling comments, what stone did they crawl out from under? Could it be that he was dispatched in the hospital (by whatever means) in order to make an example of him? Remember, this was right in the middle of the v-word program. Big motive there. Something to think about. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteHi Laurence. That would be a horrible thing if it happened. But can we rule it out, what with the extreme level of propaganda going on at the time? I think not.
ReplyDeleteAgreed Ben and it does not take a great leap of the imagination, unfortunately. Take the midazolam DNRs in the UK under hancock. In the US, hospitals were incentivised to administer ventilators, equipment that almost always causes irreversible lung damage. The apparent subsequent cover-up would make sense in that case.
