Hi Ben I've not yet listened to all of the show as yet (just the first few minutes) but re. Lucy Letby, iirc she lived near the Countess (I think she was buying her home) but once the police investigation was underway she stayed with her parents (in Hereford?). Dewi Evans was not a neonatal expert rather had been an Endocrine Paediatrician and had not practiced for circa 15 years (again iirc). Miss Letby's cats were rescues and the Rescue wouldn't allow her parents to keep them and they were subsequently rehomed. If you are interested in a very deep dive into the Lucy Letby disgusting miscarriage of so-called justice there is a youtube channel called 'Lucy Letby Analysis' which I would recommend; the host Christopher Morris examines at length every aspect of the case (he has a book coming out about the case later this year). It's pretty clear a dedicated and caring nurse, who spoke up about the quality of care in that unit, was completely stitched up.
ReplyDeleteHi Anon. I've not heard of him, but thanks for the recommendation. Sorry to hear she had her cats taken away. According to her letter she was counting on her parents to take care of them.
