Interesting interview Ben regarding the Paul is Dead conspiracy. I'm on the fence on the PiD theory as I don't know what to make of it as bizarre and ridiculous it will sound to many people. Most in the conspiracy arena will say that the PiD theory was crated as a distraction in order to put people off the more sinister side of the Beatles and the connections to Crowley, Tavistock links, etc, or that the various clues were just created as a joke by the band. I suppose they have a point.
ReplyDeleteEven if I can accept that Paul was murdered and replaced by a "double" named Billy Shears (William Shephard), I still can't get my head around how on earth they managed to transform his face to look almost identical to Paul McCartney. Was he just some random person who looked nothing like him beforehand, or was he Paul's twin brother or even a clone of him?. I've heard theories that Paul had a twin brother (who they claim is Faul, and being left handed, has green eyes and his abit taller than Paul) and that Mike McGear is not his biological brother but just pretending to be. That makes most sense to me.
Mark Devlin believes that the real Paul is dead and isn't John Halliday, one of the custodians of Paul's childhood home whom some claim is the real Paul. He believes they planned right from the start to get rid of and replace him at some point, but why Paul I don't know. I haven't heard Mark mention the rumour that Paul was trying to expose the Paedophilia thing though, I haven't heard him mention that in any of the podcasts he's done on the subject.
